What Open + Curious is
I have conversations with people and then write about what I notice. Not what we talked about — what happened while we were talking. The mechanics. The moments where something shifted, or didn’t. The patterns that show up across hundreds of exchanges that you’d never see in any single one.
Field Notes are the weekly essays — one conversation, examined. Field Guides are the longer work — several conversations traced together until a bigger pattern emerges.
Origins
I’ve published nearly 450 long-form conversations over the past decade — first through Movers Mindset (about movement, people, and ideas), then through other podcasts, all of which feed Open + Curious. At some point I realized I was more interested in how the conversations worked than in what they were about. Why one question opened a door and another closed it. Why some people made me smarter just by the way they listened. Why the best exchanges left me thinking for days.
I started writing Open + Curious to clarify my own thinking about all of that. The tone and structure have changed as I’ve gotten better at it — it’s striking the further back you go in the Field Notes. But I’ve left everything published as-is because showing the work matters as much as doing it.
Authorship
The Field Notes and Field Guides are produced using AI language models directed through an editorial system I built. I select all source material, design the creative framework, direct the editorial process, and make all acceptance and revision decisions. The prose is generated by AI under sustained human editorial direction.
I’m transparent about this because it matters. The observations are mine. The conversations are real. The writing tool is AI. If that bothers you, I understand — but I’d rather you know than not.

My personal blog is at https://constantine.name — fifteen years of daily writing about whatever I’m thinking about. It’s not curated and it’s not polished. It’s the raw version.
There are a ton of conversation related posts on my personal blog. What’s posted there is often the raw material which becomes clarified (I hope) writing here for Open + Curious.
Everything else — all the projects, the full picture — is at https://craigconstantine.com.
Cheers!
