The Open + Curious podcast is about helping others create better conversations.
Everyone talks every day, but how often do we intentionally practice the art of conversation? In the podcast episodes, I hope to ignite our listeners’ passion for creating great conversations.

1. Schedule yourself via Calendly…
Pick a one-hour spot which works for you:

If you don’t see a day, or time-of-day, that works for you, just get back to me in whatever channel we were communicating. I’ll do my best to find a date/time that works for you. Or tell me when you want me to ask you again later, (“give me a couple weeks”, or “ask me again next month”, …and I’ll followup with you then.)
2. How everything works…
Feel free to ask me questions in whatever medium we were already using. I’ve tried to anticipate the common questions, but I’m happy to discuss anything in detail.
YOU CHOOSE HOW WE START — I’ll go over this before we press record, but you can think about it now too: I will begin our conversation by asking you one of these questions. whichever you prefer…
- What is something you hope people will take away from our conversation?
- What question shall we explore today?
That’s weird, I know. But it’s important to me because…
- Sets intention immediately — I’m inviting you to frame the conversation in terms of impact, not merely content. It primes our listeners for meaning rather than information.
- Gives you agency — You start in the driver’s seat. You’re not reacting to me, you’re aiming the initial arc of our conversation.
- Creates narrative tension — For our listeners: now they’re listening to see how that takeaway emerges. It plants a flag early, and says, “This will go somewhere.”
- This is very “Open + Curious” — It treats you as someone with insight, not just a story or experience. It reinforces the idea that conversation is co-creation, not just extraction.
SAFETY NET — It’s not live, and we only record audio. After we stop recording, you decide if I publish it. Seriously. You get a big, safe, veto option. Published or vetoed, I’ll still be glad we had a chance to have a cool conversation.
CHROME WEB BROWSER — You will need to run the Chrome web browser on your desktop or notebook (there is also an app for mobile) enabling me to capture high-quality audio from your side. We’ll be using a professional service called zencastr.com to record.
RECORD ~40 MINUTES — After some warm-up conversation, we’ll begin the recording and dive in.
HEADPHONES PLEASE — If possible, please have headphones. Without headphones, my voice coming out of your speakers can be picked up by your microphone creating an echo.
CAN YOU USE WHAT WE RECORD? — Yes, of course! You may do whatever you want with what we record. When we’re done recording, just ask, and I’ll email you download links for the audio files.
